Old Town Ice Cream Parlor Robbed Of Cold CashMarch 30, 2009SAN DIEGO -- Police are searching Monday for a man who robbed a Cold Stone Creamery in Old Town. The robbery at 2448 San Diego Avenue occurred around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, said San Diego police Sgt. Bob Dare. The robber, a black man in his 20s wearing a white shirt and a baseball cap, entered the ice cream parlor, demanded money and told the clerk that accomplices were waiting for him outside, Dare said. He fled with an unknown amount of cash in a white car described as "similar to a VW Jetta," with a "blue tribal or swirl design" on the side, from the front to the rear, Dare said.
