Crews Find Body In San Carlos House Fire
March 18, 2009SAN DIEGO -- Firefighters found a dead man in a San Carlos house Wednesday after extinguishing a blaze that tore through the residence.
Neighbors reported the fire in the 6200 block of Spruce Lake Avenue about 9:40 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
It took crews less than 10 minutes to extinguish the flames, which caused extensive damage to the rear of the single-story home, SDFRD spokesman Maurice Luque said.
The man, whose name was not immediately available, was found on a bed, Luque said. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators were seeking to determine the cause of the blaze.
