Chargers Jamal Williams To Not Be Charged For DUIApril 18, 2009SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Chargers defensive lineman Jamal Williams will not be charged with driving under the influence. Williams will instead face reckless driving charges, according to the San Diego City Attorney's Office. The city attorney said he doesn't believe he could prove Williams was driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol arrested Williams Feb. 1 on Highway 94 in the College Area. Hours later he gave a blood sample at the CHP office, and his blood-alcohol level was determined to be .07 -- just under the legal limit for DUI. Williams will be arraigned on the reckless driving charges next week. Return to San Diego Local News Roundup |
