Officials release name of man in fatal collision
March 12, 2009NORTH COUNTY: An Oceanside motorist who died after a collision March 1 in Valley Center has been identified as Jamison McClelland, 24.
The Medical Examiner's Office released his name this week after notifying his family.
McClelland was driving a Jeep Cherokee east on Lilac Road at Via Piedra about 8:20 p.m. and crossed into westbound lanes for an unknown reason, the California Highway Patrol said. The Jeep collided with a Toyota Tundra.
The Tundra driver and his wife suffered moderate and minor injuries. McClelland was hospitalized with severe injuries and died the next day.
