Mom Throws Baby in Dryer
March 14, 2009A New Orleans jury has convicted a woman of killing her 3-month-old by putting it in a clothes dryer.
Lawyers for Lakeisha Adams unsuccessfully argued the woman was legally insane when she killed her baby in December 2005. Jurors were convinced Adams knew right from wrong, based on her own police confession and testimony from three mental health experts.
Adams faces life in prison without parole for the 2nd-degree murder.
