Ex-Beauty Queen Arrested After Drug Raid

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. -- Montgomery County police said a former Miss Maryland is facing drug charges along with her boyfriend after a raid found drugs, ammunition and cash in their apartment, WBAL-TV reported.
Police said Tia Shorts, who was crowned Miss Maryland USA in 2004, and her boyfriend, Joey King, face numerous drug possession and distribution charges. King also faces a firearms charge.
Montgomery County police said the arrests were made after detectives witnessed drug activity at the apartment complex Tuesday night.
Two others were also arrested and all four were released after posting bond.
